February New Pattern - Lucerne

February's beading pattern tutorial release is the Lucerne Necklace Pattern, inspired by the pretty flowers trailing along the bridge at Lucerne in Switzerland.

Spanning the Reuss, Lucerne's famous Kapellbrücke is the oldest wooden covered bridge in Europe as well as the world's oldest surviving truss bridge. In the summer swathes of colourful flowers line the outside of the bridge.

The design of the Lucerne necklace takes inspiration from the trusses of the bridge, with strands of faceted beads and glass flowers forming a pretty fringe.  We have a selection of beautiful Czech glass flowers and faceted beads in our Beads section.

The Lucerne necklace is suitable for an intermediate/advanced skill level. As with all our beading tutorials, the pattern comes with step by step instructions and illustrations to help you complete the design.  To purchase this design as a kit, in a choice of 3 colours, click here.
